Some people say these millennial’s have it made with all of the technology they grew up with and blah blah blah… um, as if!
90’s babies will forever want the 90’s and the early millennial years back. I want to live the 90’s as a pre-teen and a teenager. Even though we know the music (religiously) and we lived and remember the fashion trends… who didn’t wish we were able to rock the baby tees, the crop cami’s, denim skirts, baby doll dresses and plaid, Doc Martens, and anything with glitter all over it to middle school/high school?
Don’t be buggin, being born in ’94 was dope but being a teen and a young adult in the late 2000’s was illin.
Side note- Tamagotchi’s are making a come back for the 20th anniversary and that is a good reason to be wiggin’ out, my dudes…
With that being said and as much of 90’s head that I am… the fashion scene lately has been giving me life! We went through that short time period where the 80’s made its comeback in fashion but now it’s back to the time of the 90’s. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE (again). The fashion repeats and my 90’s babe Spotify playlist constantly playing has given me some major inspiration to remind ya what greatness the 90’s and the early 2000’s gave us.
Songs we still jam…
These picks are a rad mix off of my own, personal 90’s playlist and a Spotify 90’s playlist to make sure all were covered! In no particular order (except for #1…).
- One band holds the #1 spot with no argument… any *NSYNC song will always and forever be a jam. From braids and oversized jersey days to space cowboy on mechanical bulls, every song in between.
- “Oops, I Did it Again” Britney Spears. 90’s queen B!
- Go ahead and follow that up with “Baby One More Time”

Okay… literally, I like totally had the hardest time condensing an amazing decade of music into a short list of 15. Goo Goo Dolls, Smash Mouth, No Doubt, Train, 3 Doors Down, Shaggy, Seal… I know, they were all fly and if there are some dope jams missing (I know there are), take a chill pill homie and know that I’m just saving you some scroll time!
Fashion trends that I wouldn’t be mad about a full come back on…
We can already see the 90’s alive and well in 2016 and 2017… thanks to the major come back on ripped skinnies, denim everything, crop tops, overalls round sunglasses and chokers… *does happy dance* but can’t we make them live on forever?! Here are some true 90’s inspiration and things I just can’t let go!
WINDBREAKERS… Can we please? Let’s rock the crazy colors and high waisted denim… how radical would that be?! 
If you didn’t (don’t) want to live in Donna, Kelly or Brenda’s closet… you gotta bounce!
*Donna’s outfits give me lifeeeee*
Plain white tees, floral baby doll dresses and bra’s for tops rocked with a denim jacket… why not?
My mother is going to kill me when she reads this (the 90’s and it’s fashion were the worst years of her life ~ 80’s momma) BUT I’m still in love with the slip dresses over the tees… am I buggin?
90’s = sheer. Just give me this outfit…

And even though these aren’t 90’s fashion, us 90’s kids got to live in velour suits and I just think they deserved a shoutout… THIS IS WHAT AMERICA NEEDS AGAIN. RIP JUICY TRACKSUITS
RIP TO THESE GEMS. If you tell me these fashion trends are dead forever, I’m just going to go ahead and say whatever and talk to the hand.
