South Carolina men & women’s basketball had great seasons this year. Both landing a spot in the NCAA tournament to take on the madness that is MARCH!
The Lady Gamecocks won the SEC tournament and are a #1 seed and will open against UNC Asheville at our very own Colonial Life arena. This is exciting news for us not only because we love Dawn Staley & our Lady Gamecocks- but because we are located right next to Colonial Life. This gives Gamecock fans the perfect opportunity to gear up before the big game! If we win we will also play Sunday at home. The men and women fan base have been awesome and we could not be happier with the positive feedback we have received since opening this location.
After a 13 year absence, the men are going to the NCAA tournament as well! Although it won’t be at home they received a 7 seed and will take on Marquette in Greenville. The Gamecocks finished 12-6 in the league. USC hasn’t won an NCAA tournament game since 1973 and according to Frank Martin, “We’ve got a chance to do some special things, man.”
We wish the Gamecocks every bit of luck and hope to have 2 winning teams come out of this!
