Hey Tarleton Fans!
Family Weekend is upon us! Thousands of students across campus are in a frenzy trying to get their house/apartment in pristine condition, ready to welcome their parents to the place they call home. Let’s be honest though…your parents won’t be fooled. They know when they get there, you spent most of the previous night scrubbing the dishes, cleaning the house, and hiding those bottles of fun juice you’ve stocked up on this semester (let’s be real).
If your lucky enough for your family to come down this weekend, don’t take it for granted. Yeah, you might not feel cool bringing your parents to dinner or walking around with them on campus, but they’ll appreciate it (& it’s kind of exciting to show them what you’ve been up to).
There’s a lot of exciting things going on this weekend in Stephenville. Start off the weekend with the Tarleton TexAnn volleyball game at 6 pm on Friday. Then, end the night watching Finding Dory on the movie on the lawn–hosted by S.W.A.T. Then, on Saturday if you’re feeling real adventurous, join in on the 4th Annual Color Chaos 5k & Fun Run at 8 am. Texan Rally starts at 9:15 am, where you get a chance to meet athletic teams, ROTC, Corps of Cadets, marching band, cheerleaders, choir, dance team, Plowboys, and the Purple Poo! Later that night, come tailgate at the Texan Alley Pre-Game tailgate–with live music, food, and games! End the night watching Texan football play UTPB.
